anet had a responsibility to maintain, and they did a great job.
if a plague is spreading do you:
A: try to maintain it but quarintine everything that may be infected
B: Tell people theres a plague goign around and wait 4 days to think of the best solution.
you go A,
anyone who was banned wrongly was temp and prob playign again now

Common sense that is the correct option.
Personally unless there's some proof posted that trading is currently dangerous to your account I think the scare scaremongering should stop.

Even if quarantiedn you know sometimez clean poeple are thought to be infected and being desposed of TADA Ususaly plage has no survivors right and if there are they are minor so out of those 300 banned you got 50 restored back to normal while other inocents are still banned with no hope of return
A-Net did somei9tng to keep it from spreading but its not 100% all innocents will be reinstated into GW

Trading is fine. Being paranoid is pointless. I've bought and sold countless armbraces and no ban for me.
As pointed out by Lucifer, people (even guildies) will lie to make themselves look better. Simple fact is, you can't trust anyone further then you can throw them.

Anet don't just ban people for no reason. Anybody that is innocent and lodges a support ticket with anet will have their account reinstated as long as the account hasn't knowingly been involved in duping or the marketing of duped goods.

-Are you afraid to trade?
Yes, lol.
-How do you feel about the fact that innocent people are getting banned, meanwhile very recently people are still out there selling armbraces of truth for 10k each?
I'm not going to lie, I'm highly disturbed by that, but I maintain hope that this will be taken care of as soon as possible.
-Should buying unidentified gold items from a bot be a bannable offense?
I don't think it should, but I think players should have the good sense not to trade with bots. Especially now with all the recent crackdowns. Protect your accounts, people.
-How do you feel about one-sided trading?
I trade one gold, lol.
-How do you feel in general knowing that all your trades are being monitored? Does it make you feel safe or uneasy? Why?
While it does make me feel uneasy, I do like that it is possible to catch the people who have been jeopardizing the guild wars economy for so long. On the other hand, I don't like the creepy "Big Brother" aspect of it, and so I'm torn :/

If you have been banned and you are totally innocent and Anet has reinstated your account, they should at the very freaking least say they are sorry for the error.
Personally I think they should give you something, like maybe a free char slot AND an apology. And further, I think the free char slot money should come from the Anet Employee's pocket (the one that actually ok'd the wrongful ban).
And how come it seems to take MULTIPLE tickets into Anet to get them to even consider re-examining the ban. Is there a certain amount of groveling that needs to take place first? If there is, please let us know so we can complete all that with one ticket.
How many freaking times can Anet make the same mistakes over and over again without coming up with a better plan? Or at the very least acknowledging you screwed up and coming correct with an apology.
Don't ask me why I'm so upset, none of this has happened to me. And I usually love/agree with 99% of what Anet does, but this just seems utterly stupid and completely avoidable.
And would another day or two or even a week have made that much of a difference to the economy? I mean really....I've heard it was active since December. So the economy was already screwed.
Oh and FFS, it's a GAME'S ECONOMY, who really cares if it's screwed up? It's not like people are going to starve to death because it costs 1 million plats for a loaf of bread.

True but how do they know wether person was eccepting it as a present and being ignorant or having no clue of being dupped as oppose to intentional accepting of the items they cant read the mind of the player now can they no chat logs can prove it either
They doit probably on the inventory status now who you rather bann a person with 50 armbraces 5 sets of Max armor FoW oarmor and 20 greens folowed by 1 mil in coins
Or a lvl 15 character with same 50 armbracers with hardly any coins who was in the game for 2 weeks
I think anet will pick the rich dude 100 percent even if they were inocent and porr dude was the mastermind behind it all
Any 1 else got any ideasd on how they can check?

An automated system you say? I say, perhaps bannings shouldn't be left up to an automated system with the same amount of AI as say Alesia or Dunkoro...
OMFG, please don't tell me that the only thing standing between me and a banned account is Dunkie...
We're all freakin doomed!!!!

Its moreso a fear of transfering items between accounts or giving items to friends rather than trading. Trading items for gold/ectos/whatever still shows you an actual log of being active in a trade item for x. The problem and paranoia will come with services such as spider capping, running, or simple having a friend or guildmate transfer items or gold from one account to another. I have something like 200-300k on my second account that has been accumulated that i wanted to bring to my main account to have some cash to just blow on whatever (2nd acct is pvp account), but with the recent crackdown and heightened tensions, its got me a little curious and hesitant about it at the moment....

Not forgetting its the greed of a minority of players that found and exploited this dupe, thus caused this to happen.
